About the Author:
Roberto Arlt (1900 - 1942), novelista, cuentista, dramaturgo, periodista e inventor argentino. Se lo considera como un precursor del teatro social argentino y de corrientes posteriores, como el absurdismo y el existencialismo. La obra de Arlt fue duramente criticada durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. Hoy, sin embargo, algunos lo colocan a la altura de Domingo F. Sarmiento, Lucio V. Mansilla, Julio Cortázar y Rodolfo Walsh.
