Book Description Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. In English and Dutch. Presumed first edition (NAP). Both the book and the dust jacket are in excellent condition. You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They are exceptionally clean. I don't see any soiling. The blue lettering on the front and spine is nicely bright. The cover edges and corners are in excellent shape, no rubbing. The page edges are perfectly clean. The book is square and the spine is straight. The binding is very solid from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The inside covers and end papers are black. They are very clean. The inside rear cover has several very thin creases coming down from its top edge. The interior of the book is in excellent condition. The pages are perfectly clean. I'm not finding any soiling at all. There is a thin bit of amber toning at the edges of the book's semi-glossy pages. I'm not finding any wear on any of the pages. There isn't any creasing. There are no markings. There are no attachments of any kind. There is a gift inscription on the half-title page. It is dated 12/90. There is no other writing to be found anywhere in the book. I've always had the dust jacket in a fitted protective cover. The jacket is very clean. I'm going to remove the protective cover in order to attempt to take photographs that won't present with glare (turns out the entirely black rear cover doesn't lend itself to a photo even without the protective cover). I will place a new fitted protective cover on the jacket after the photos are taken. Sans protective cover I can see that the rear cover has a little bit of that white clouding that always seems to go along with black coloring. It also has a little nick and of vague, light crease, nothing conspicuous. There are no tears on the jacket. The large flaps are in very good condition. They are not priced or clipped.
