O Zicartola foi um tempo memorável. Ninguém incomodava a gente ainda. Eu saía da Faculdade e ia para lá, subia aquelas escadarias e ficava até de manhã. Era um espetáculo. Aquilo era o núcleo dos estudantes. A nata da intelectualidade e do samba estava lá dentro. O Zicartola ficava no Centro da cidade, então o pessoal saía do trabalho e ia para lá ouvir samba e comer a comida da Zica, que era fantástica. Outros núcleos de resistência cultural e político surgiram a partir deste movimento. Nós éramos todos envolvidos com a questão política e apaixonados pela música brasileira.
