About the Author
Silvia Miguens, nació en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ha participado en congresos internacionales de género, literatura e historia y dictó conferencias, talleres y seminarios en universidades de Argentina y Colombia sobre un tema que le apasiona: el cruce y la concordancia entre la historia y la ficción y la especial participación de la mujer en esa historia. Su primera novela Pollerapantalón fue finalista del premio Emecé 1994-1995. En 1996, Editorial Tusquets editó Lupe, novela que le mereció un Premio Ricardo Rojas (1995-1997) de la Secretaría de Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires; en 1998 publica Ana y el virrey (Planeta- Argentina) también con gran éxito de venta y una excelente crítica; en el 2000, La gloria eres tú (Planeta-Argentina), reeditada en el 2001 en Colombia por Ediciones Aurora, y en Argentina el 2005 por Editorial Sudamericana, en la Colección Debolsillo. A partir del 2002, Editorial Sudamericana editó Anita Gorostiaga, una mujer entre dos fuegos; Cómo se atreve a tanto (2004), Ana y el Virrey, en la Colección Debolsillo, y La Baronesa del Tango (2006). Panamericana Editorial, de Colombia editó en el 2003, dos Ensayos Literarios acerca de Ficciones y El Aleph, de Jorge Luis Borges, y en el 2004, Eva Duarte, en la Colección Forjadores del Mundo.
