About the Author
Eukene Lacarra Lanz. Doctora por la Universidad de California y Catedrática de Literatura Medieval Española de la Universidad del País Vasco. Desde 1955 es Honory Associate de la Hispanic Society of America. Ha impartido cursos de doctorado en numerosas universidades de Estados Unidos y es autora de más de medio centenar de libros y artículos. Destacan sus estudios sobre el Poema del Mio Cid y La Celestina, y sus investigaciones relativas a la representación de la mujer en la literatura medieval, la ficción sentimental y los estudios teóricos sobre género y feminismo.
