314pp , ABOUT THE AUTHOR :: Niall Williams is an Irish author. He was born in Dublin in 1958. He studied English and French literature at the University of Dublin before graduating with an MA in modern American literature. He moved to New York in 1980, where he married Christine Breen , who was known as a master student also at UCD , and took his first boxes vacancy of the books in the library of Fox and Sutherland in Mount Kisco . He later worked as an editor for Avon Books in New York before leaving the United States with Chris in 1985 to try to make a living as a writer. His first four books were co - written with Christine and their life together in Kiltumper in West Clare speak . In 1991 , the first work of Niall 'The Murphy Initiative ' was performed at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. His second book , 'A Little Like Paradise "was produced on stage at The Peacock Theatre Abbey in 1995. His third book, " The Way You Look Tonight " , was produced by Galway Druid Theatre Company in 1999. The first novel by Niall had four love letters. published in 1997 , it became an international bestseller and has been published in over twenty countries . His second novel, as in heaven was published in 1999 and was listed along for the Irish Times Literary IMPAC Award . his third novel, the Fall of Light was published in the UK and Ireland , France , Italy and the United States. his fourth novel, just say the word , was published in 2005 in several countries and his fifth novel , Boy in the World was published in 2007. Boy in the World is dedicated to Joseph, son of Niall . he wrote chapters and sent Joseph , who was away at boarding school. Niall continued the story of the sequel, Chico and the Man . the Niall latest novel , his seventh novel , entitled Juan . He is currently working on a novel and a screenplay and a book of short stories. He currently lives in West Clare with his wife and two children. He works as a mentor for MFA students at Carlow University in Pittsburgh. He
