Synopsis

Description in English: In the middle of the night, someone called Daniel Quinn, a writer of detective novels under writing under a pseudonym and who, disheartened, has given up his career as a poet. The voice on the other end of the line repeatedly asks for an investigator, a man named Paul Auster, and wants to entrust him a mission. As if he were the protagonist of one of his novels, Quinn decided to get carried away by chance, and assume the identity of a detective, as if he were the protagonist of one of his novels. The investigation will lead to Stillman, a curious character that requires protection to save his own life. For this, the detective will get lost in the maze of reality and of the streets of New York. With Crystal City, the opening of The New York Trilogy, Paul Auster reinvented the detective genre with a quixotic adventure and a dialogue on identity and contemporary reality.
