Carmen Resino, es una de las autoras más prolíficas, estudiadas y según palabras de Virtudes Serrano «de mayor enjundia» del actual panorama teatral español. Licenciada en Historia por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, catedrática de Historia de I.E.S., estudios teatrales por la Universidad de Ginebra, fue miembro fundador y presidenta de la Asociación Dramaturgas Españolas. También perteneció a la Junta Directiva de la Asociación de Autores de Teatro. Ha sido finalista en el Nadal, Lope de Vega, Tirso de Molina y Nacional de Literatura Dramática, Palencia de Teatro y ha obtenido los siguientes premios: Villa de Alcorcón, Café Gijón de Gijón, Buero Vallejo y ha sido Mención de Honor en el Felipe Trigo, en el Calderón de la Barca y Mejor Autor español de la Boesdaelhoeve de Bruselas.
