The author presents an easy to read, interesting and usefull book on hypnosis. I was able to use the historical section for my lectures at various universities. The applications of hypnosis were simple to understand, yet advanced enough to meet the needs of professionals. I was very happy with the way Ms. Hadley explained the cognative approaches to smoking cessation, weight reduction and stress management. This was a pretty good book. Actually went a little more in depth about certain health problems and the like than some others that I have read, and it gives a lot of example inductions and other great stuff like that which is good for a beginner... --By A Customer on March 31,2014

This book is a really good starting point for a person looking to get involved with the field of clinical hypnosis as Hadley and Staudacher have clearly outlined the basic process.
