About the Author:
Bajcurová, Katarína is an art historian and the curator of the Collections of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Slovak National Gallery. She focuses on Slovak modern painting and sculpture, classical modernism, and Slovak contemporary art. Beskid, Vladimír is an art historian and freelance curator. He has curated more than 80 collective and individual exhibitions of Slovakian and international artists. Viktor Freso belongs among the most remarkable figures of the contemporary art in the region of the former Czechoslovakia. His work and overall approach to art is rather atypical but at the same time reflects current society and culture. Gavulova, Lucia is an art historian and the curator of the Collections of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Slovak National Gallery. She was editor-in-chief of VLNA - a Slovak magazine for contemporary art and culture. Peter Tajkov is an art historian, curator, pedagogue, and vice-dean for science, research, and development with the Art Faculty of the Technical University in Kosice.
