Paget came to Malaya for work before World War II. She and dozens of other women and children were captured by Japanese invaders. Later she was rescued and returned to England and gained a handsome of heritage. When she came to Malaya she learned that soldier Joe Harman who once saved her life did not die. She went to Australia to find Joe but was in vain.
