Juan Comparan was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in 1977. His father was a university research professor and a writer for over thirty years, and instilled in him the passion for books and literature. In 2007 he brought to life Quidea, a concept that at the beginning arose only on the literary plain, like a saga of historical fantasy and science fiction with an ecological tone and a message of hope. When drafting the first part of the saga, the author conceived an organization whose focus was to promote a distinct way of advancing ecology. This vision took form and adopted the same name as the saga. The project grew and with it the scope of the mission, giving birth to a civil association with a distinct social responsibility: Tierra Quidea AC. The creator of the Legends of Quidea has participated in various literary events and has received acknowledgment from public and private educational institutions due to his intense activities in favor of ecology and promoting reading.
