Annette Hess Nacida en Hannover, Annette Hess empezó su carrera estudiando pintura y diseño de interiores. Ha trabajado como periodista, asistente de dirección y guionista. Desde 1998 escribe exclusivamente para la televisión y es la creadora de las exitosas series Weissensee y Ku'damm 56/59. Ha recibido importantes premios como el Premio Grimme y el Premio de la Televisión Alemana. La Casa Alemana es su primera novela.
