Shona religious values and prophecies of spirit mediums which have influenced life in Zimbabwe are documented. Final discussion is on marriage and its role in shaping community values.

About the Author:
Takawira Kazembe is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Science and Maths Education, University of Zimbabwe. One of his teaching areas is Natural Products Chemistry. His desire to understand the backgrounds of the main users of Natural Product Chemicals resulted in the study of Traditional Medicine and Traditional Religion.
