Based on Epifanio San Juans stance “Philippine Reality vs. Postcolonial Theory”, topics and motifs found in the novels are used to question and challenge the basic and general terms and concepts of postcolonial theory from Hybrity, Liminality, Race, Center und Periphery to Feminism and Class.
