A former student of Georg Baselitz at theBerlin University of the Arts, Daniel Mohr (*1976 in Bad Hersfeld) explores the theme of landscape and the relationship humans have with nature. Walking a fine line between the figurative and the abstract, he transforms landscapes and people into vibrant planes of color. The remarkable thing about Mohr s works is the painterly treatment and thus their artistic interpretation. Due to the artist s technique of combining watercolors and oil, the works tend to suggest watercolors.
