Las Congregaciones Marianas fueron fundadas por el Sacerdote Belga Juan Lenus en el Colegio de Siracusa en el ano 1560. El Papa Gregorio XIII dio la aprobacion definitiva con la Bula Omnipotentis Dei el dia 5 de diciembre de 1584. A partir de ahi se van a agregar a la Congregacion de la Anunciata de Roma todas las Congregaciones dependientes de los Colegios Jesuitas de Europa, Asia, Africa, America y principalmente la Nueva Espana. Este libro trata la historia de las Congregaciones Marianas desde su fundacion hasta la supresion de la Compania de Jesus en 1773. Este estudio contiene las bulas, los privilegios, los Papas que han pertenecido a este movimiento Jesuita a traves de la Historia de dicho movimiento. En la Ciudad de Mexico en el Siglo XXI queda una sola Congregacion que es la Congregacion de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe y San Ignacio de Loyola.

About the Author:
Nació en la Ciudad de México, Maestro en Historia por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México y candidato a Doctorado por la misma Universidad. Ha sido catedrático en el IFTIM, del Colegio Máximo de Cristo Rey de la Compañía de Jesús y de la Casa de Formación Santa Verónica de las Hermanas Capuchinas entre otras.
