M�rz 1947 in Ulm) ist eine in Jerusalem lebende deutschsprachige deutsch-israelische Autorin. Leben: Als Kind j�discher Eltern, die den Holocaust �berlebten, wurde Lea Fleischmann in einem Lager f�r Displaced Persons bei Ulm geboren und wuchs im Lager F�hrenwald in Wolfratshausen auf. Sie studierte in Frankfurt am Main P�dagogik und Psychologie, gr�ndete eine Familie und unterrichtete von 1973 bis 1979 im hessischen Schuldienst an der Berufsschule. 1979 gab sie ihre Stellung als Studienr�tin auf und wanderte, ohne ihren Mann, aber mit zwei Kindern, nach Israel aus. 1980 ver�ffentlichte sie ihr im In- und Ausland viel beachtetes und zum Bestseller gewordenes Buch Dies ist nicht mein Land", in welchem sie mit Deutschland abrechnete und aufzeigte, warum Juden dort nach dem Holocaust nicht mehr leben k�nnten, seinerzeit auch unter dem Eindruck der Berufsverbote nach dem Radikalenerlass. In Jerusalem entdeckte sie das Judentum f�r sich, lernte Hebr�isch, um die Tora lesen zu k�nnen, wurde religi�s. Inzwischen ist Israel zu ihrer Heimat geworden, sie reist regelm��ig nach Deutschland und ist dort als Gespr�chspartnerin im j�disch-christlichen Dialog gefragt. 1992 richtete sie eine kulturelle Begegnungsst�tte ein, die 2001 aufgrund der zweiten Intifada geschlossen werden musste.
