Translated as The Most Beautiful Day of My Youth, this book is the culmination of a three-year project, organised by Bernard Faucon. Between 1997 and 2000 he gave disposable cameras to 100 people aged 15-20 in each of 20 places around the globe (including Essaouira, Paris, Tokyo, Mali, Cuba, Rio, Moscow, Istanbul and Sicily). The result is a collection of photographs that is humorous, joyful, poignant and fresh, each image capturing a fleeting moment of youth that transcends national and cultural boundaries.
