Dans la nouvelle qui donne son titre au recueil, peut-être la plus troublante et la plus ambiguë, le narrateur fume des joints à longueur de journée, couche avec la fille de la seconde femme de son oncle, qui arrivent tout droit de Russie et ont un passé pour le moins trouble : Natasha a beau avoir quatorze ans seulement, s'agit-il d'une putain déjà fort rouée malgré son jeune âge, d'une autiste, d'une révoltée, d'une nymphomane ou d'uneIndifférente ?
