Synopsis
On sait que, des juin 1940, Albert Cohen rejoignit l'Angleterre pour continuer la lutte contre l'Allemagne nazie. Installe a Londres, il deviendra, en 1945, conseiller juridique du Comite intergouvernemental pour les refugies. Le present volume reunit trois textes de cette periode: Angleterre, un hymne superbe a la grandeur de ce pays qui a porte de facon admirable l'esprit de resistance durant les annees de guerre Churchill d'Angleterre, portrait inspire et lyrique du vieux lion et des annees de combat le texte integral d'une conference prononcee a Geneve en janvier 1949 sur L'Organisation internationale pour les refugies et la protection juridique et politique. Magnifiques textes litteraires, dignes des meilleures pages romanesques d'Albert Cohen, ces Ecrits d'Angleterre etaient devenus introuvables depuis de nombreuses annees.
