Irish landlord Lord Mulkaine is not a well-loved man. Like his father before him, he sees his tenant farmers as little more than a source of income, headaches, and trouble, and he'll do whatever is necessary to enforce his ownership of their land and their payment of his rents. It seems everyone in the parish of Kildawree--even the parish priest--has a reason to wish him the worst, and when it happens, the local police are as confused as everyone else; who was it that was finally pushed too far?
