LITTLE WORDS can be windows through which the light of Christ can shine.
So often we miss the little words in a verse. This book explores some little (two letter) words in the Bible that make a BIG difference. Many little words are explored. IN, for instance, is an important little word:
Therefore, if anyone is IN Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17.
When we are IN Christ, we are a temple of the Holy Spirit. In order to fully benefit from being His temple, we need to be instructed (structured) using material from His word.
I have found that paying attention to little words gives more insight into, and more powerful meaning to, Bible passages. Hopefully, a year in this book of devotions will help in your understanding, appreciation, and use of the Bible.
Each month begins with a definition of that month's little word with information about its power and usage. The definition is followed by a verse for each day of the month using that little word with thoughts for meditation and spiritual growth.

About the Author:
Dr. Donald Totten's education, family background, and professional experience are the foundation for his rich and meaningful daily inspirational thoughts for the Christian's daily walk with the Lord. He spent 30 years in the Michigan educational system teaching mathematics to gifted and talented students at the middle school level along with teaching experience at the high school, college, and post graduate levels. After retiring from teaching, he attended a Christian based university to earn the doctorate in Counseling Psychology. For the next 20 years he served the Lord in his private Christian counseling practice and finally retired for the second time at age 80. In more than 15 years of his teaching and counseling careers, he pastored different churches that experienced tremendous spiritual growth.
Donald has been married to his wonderful wife, Joan for over 60 years. Their two sons, Dr. Douglas Totten (optometrist), and Dr. Jeffrey Totten (principle engineer in a major corporation), are married to Catherine Totten (retired computer engineer and programmer), and Lori Totten,(dental hygienist). They have five grandchildren, Dr. Michael Totten, (general surgeon), Dr. Nicole Totten, (dentist), Zachary Totten (engineer in a major corporation), Kala Totten (BSN nurse), and Julia Totten (soon to be a doctor of optometry).
Preparation for Dr. Totten's careers was made possible by earning the BA degree in education, an MA in education, an MA in Psychology, a PhD in Psychology, and five quarters at a denominational seminary. Previously, Dr. Totten and his wife, Joan, co-authored The C.H.E.E.S.E Factor, published in 2006. This book was written from a Christian counseling perspective exploring reasons of why we are the way we are, and how to have a mentally and physically healthy life in Christ.
