When a major Parisian modern art event gets unexpected attention on live TV, Chief of Police Nico Sirsky and his team of elite crime fighters rush to La Villette Park and Museum complex. There, renowned artist Samuel Cassian is inaugurating the first archeological dig of modern art, three decades after burying the leftovers of a banquet. In front of reporters from around the world, excavators uncover a skeleton. Could it be the artist's own son? And does that death have anything to do with the current string of nightclub murders by the "Paris Butcher"? On the site of the French capital's former slaughterhouses, the investigation takes Nico and France's top criminal investigation division from artists' studios to autopsy theaters and nightclubs in hopes of tracking down the murderer who has turned this Paris park into a city of blood.

Review:
"Suspense lovers will get their fill." -Le Journal

"This novel really brings alive Paris' Parc de la Villette and its history, and Molay keeps her characters in role as they investigate this case, giving you a solid police procedural." 5-star reader review

"A real pleasure to read. Molay is as precise and accurate as ever when it comes to police procedure and forensics. A good read exploring the universe of death, blood, intolerance and contemporary art." -Pascal Kneuss

"Molay has the rare skill of producing just the right tone, without clichés and with subtle humor. Magical, written by a master." -Aventure Litteraire

"Another superb book in the Nico Sirsky series of books written by Frederique Molay and beautifully translated as always by Le French Books. The books are so evocative of Paris, a city I know well and revisit every time I read a book as good as this one... The writing flows, story and characters are enthralling as are the police procedures and the way they are described." --5-star Netgalley review

"It is a handsomely written and wonderfully translated Parisian police procedural that also will prowl your mind...The ugly parts are appalling, but Molay has the prowess to touch lightly upon them before exploring the horror seeping into the hardened police ranks." -Durango Herald (The 7th Woman)

"The 7th Woman is a taut and terror-filled thriller. Frédérique Molay navigates French police procedure with a deft touch, creating a lightning-quick, sinister plot with twists and turns that kept me reading late and guessing to the very end. Inspector Nico Sirsky is every bit as engaging and dogged as Arkady Renko in Gorky Park." -New York Times bestselling author Robert Dugoni (The 7th Woman)

"Molay uses meticulous police procedure and forensics to bolster gripping scenes of terror. Let's hope more installments from this series cross the ocean soon." -Booklist (The 7th Woman)

"It has a CSI-like approach to police procedure and a literally fascinating intrusion of contemporary art. It is set in La Villette, and provides the added pleasure of teaching us something while entertaining us. A taut novel, with likable characters and optimism. Fresh and a real pleasure to read." -Blue Moon

"The 7th Woman blends suspense and authentic police procedure with a parallel tale of redemption. Well-drawn characters and ratcheting tension won't let you put the book down. I read this in one sitting." - Paris mystery writer Cara Black (The 7th Woman)
About the Author:
Called "the French Michael Connelly," Frederique Molay graduated from France's prestigious Science Po and began her career in politics and the French administration. She worked as chief of staff for the deputy mayor of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, and then was elected to the local government in Saone-et-Loire. Meanwhile, she spent her nights pursing a passion for writing she had nourished since she wrote her first novel at the age of eleven. The first in the Paris Homicide series, The 7th Woman, won France's most prestigious crime fiction award and went on to become an international bestseller, allowing Molay to dedicate her life to writing and raising her three children."
