"This is a beautifully written heroic tale that engages its readers immediately. While the realm is fantasy, the thoughts and actions of the characters are genuine. The author seamlessly blends modern day Colorado with a fantasy "After-world." The story line moves quickly so that readers maintain interest. Very appropriate for 9 years old and up. M.J. Evans is a graduate of Oregon State University and a lifelong equestrian. She is a former teacher at the secondary school level. She and her husband are the parents of five children and live in Colorado with their three horses and a Standard Poodle.
