Kim Lockwood is an acclaimed author with a keen interest in Australian history. Growing up in Darwin after the war his father, journalist and author Douglas Lockwood was there for the bombing on 19 February 1942 he later worked as a journalist in Perth, back in Darwin (where he lived through cyclone Tracy) and Melbourne, undertaking senior editorial roles for the Herald and Weekly Times and News Ltd. He is the author of or contributor to 16 books, including Charles 'Bud' Tingwell's War Stories.
