Vicky Halls spent a frustrating childhood borrowing her neighbour s cat until she finally acquired her first at the age of 20. Since then she has been making up for lost time by devoting most of her attention to all things feline. After an earlier career in the motor trade indulging her passion for cars, she switched allegiance, possibly due to a typo, and began working with cats in an RSPCA branch centre in Cornwall. She devoted the following 25 years to studying the behaviour of domestic cats species, accruing qualifications in veterinary nursing and humanistic counselling along the way. In 1997, she became a member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors and vets have since referred to her over 2000 cases involving cats with behavioural issues . The most common cases she sees are ones involving cats messing in the house and Vicky has been known to comment, rather ill-advisedly, that urines and faeces are her bread and butter. She has shared her home with seven cats in the past but now limits herself to one at a time.
