As the manager of Sheffield Wednesday and Everton, Harry Catterick amassed more top flight points in the 1960s than all his rivals, finishing outside the top six on only one occasion. Yet, unfairly, he stands in the shadows of contemporaries such as Bill Shankly, Don Revie and Brian Clough in the public consciousness. Following extensive research, including being given unique access to the Catterick family's documents and photographs, Rob Sawyer has recounted the life of this football great for the very first time.

Review:
'This well written and long overdue book should allow the Catt's achievements to be recognised by a whole new generation of Evertonians and you would hope the wider public.'- When Skies Are Grey

'Sawyer's book is a comprehensive study of a lifetime in football...The book is as well balanced as Catterick's magnificent League championship team of 1969-70, propelled by the breathtaking midfield trio of Howard Kendall, Colin Harvey and Alan Ball.'- Sporting Intelligence

'The book that generations of Evertonians have been waiting for has finally hit the shelves... a wonderful biography.. that is just about the perfect Christmas present.' - --Everton Magazine

'A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma ......Churchill's memorable description of Russia was one I used to apply to Harry Catterick when we were writing the book Colin Harvey's Everton Secrets. And a man who's taken on the task of solving some of the mysteries enveloping the former Goodison player and highly successful manager, by writing his biography, is my studio guest, Rob Sawyer. The book is so detailed....Rob has hardly left an i undotted or a t uncrossed. It's superb.' - Strictly John Keith on CityTalk 105.9'[Catterick's Everton] were a great side in a glorious era, and this book is a fitting tribute to their manager's achievement in leading them to such success.' --Extra Time & Backpass
