Three girls each stumble across a strange Oriental black lacquer puzzle box that contains... something! It is something they feel compelled to use on themselves. And when they do they find themselves transported away to a strange, alternative reality, where female slavery is very much alive and well. The first of the girls is a policewoman, who is chasing the second girl – the thief who stole the box and who had stashed it in the woods. The third girl is an innocent holiday maker cycling in the woods. How their interlinking fates play out makes for a truly absorbing and erotic novel you will not want to put down! The setting, a Victorian-era society where judicial slavery is an accepted fact, is well done. The story, about the experiences diverse reactions of three modern Earth women transported to this world, is compelling. This book and its sequel are well worth reading! 5 out of 5 (MW)
