I love this series for its evocation of the wonderful relationship that can exist between grandfather and grandchild. If you are a grandparent, get a copy and share it with your grandchild. When Lollipop finds her first wobbly tooth, mischievous Grandpa is full of good ideas to help get it out... a tug-of-war, a woodpacker and an elephant. What is Grandpa thinking of? Cate James' cartoon illustrations...are perfect for this light-hearted look at tooth worries, and the view of the dentist's hairy nose as he examines Lollipop will amuse children. There is a lot of differentiated text for emphasis, and some sound effects, and this will be great fun to read aloud. --The School Librarian

Penelope Harper is a former radio presenter and currently works as a school librarian. Lollipop and Grandpa are her first children's books, inspired by her relationship with her own grandfather. Cate James is an Edinburgh-based illustrator and printmaker.
