Softcover. Condition: Like New. Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Book in excellent unread/unused condition. See images. Fantastic book. About the book >.>.> The first came in the summer of 1969. To my surprise I was asked by Mgr Thomas Worden, on behalf of Archbishop Beck, to go to Manchester University when I had finished studies in Rome and had been ordained. It was to be my first appointment. Mgr Worden was the Dean of Studies at St Joseph's College, Upholland, the senior seminary for the Archdiocese of Liverpool. However, he assured me that a period of lecturing at the seminary was not what the Archbishop had in mind. That was a relief, for I had never thought of myself as an academic. The appointment was for a more immediate purpose: Manchester University had, at that time, accepted the Licence in Theology of the Gregorian University as a first degree. Mgr Worden, who had brokered that understanding, wanted to consolidate it with a further post-graduate student. I was to be that student. I was free, he said, to pursue any line of post-graduate studies in the Faculty of Theology. Seller Inventory # Batch-FM273-LN-6983
