About the Author:

Jeremy Hooker is well known as a poet and critic who has made a special contribution to the 'poetry of place'. He is the author of ten collections of poetry, and his critical writings include Writers in a Landscape (University of Wales Press, 1996). He is Professor of English Literature at the University of Glamorgan. A lifelong reader of Jefferies, he is President of the Richard Jefferies Society.
