About the Author:
Sean Beecher was a well-known local historian and broadcaster. He regularly contributed to television and radio programmes, including the popular Sunday Miscllany on RTE radio. His previous publications include 'The Story of Cork', 'A Dictionary of Cork Slang' and 'The Blues, a history of St. Finbarr's GAA club'.
