Synopsis:
In "Loop Pretty Knits", Susan Cropper offers a gorgeous collection of ultra-feminine fashion pieces, accessories and home furnishings, specially commissioned from a variety of leading international knitting designers. Susan is constantly sourcing new designs and the best yarns from around world for her shop, which places her in the perfect position to assess market-demand and cherry-pick the most exciting knitting designers to work with. This collection of patterns has been inspired by her knowledge of what people really want to knit. 'Customers often come in asking for a certain type of pattern, which there is a real lack of. They also see the toys, homewares and quirky objects by great designers that we sell and wish there was a pattern for them,' she explains."Loop Pretty Knits" seeks to fill a gap in the market, providing a useful and visually inspiring source of contemporary patterns for an array of glamorous garments and beautiful knitted furnishings and accessories for comfortable, chic homes.

Using an array of sumptuous yarns in rich, luxe textures - such as silk, ribbon, organdie, mohair and cashmere - and luscious girly colours inspired by flowers, candy and sugar-iced cakes, these ultra-feminine designs will appeal to domestic goddesses and glamour pusses everywhere. The projects feature a variety of different stitches and techniques - some quick and as easy, and others requiring a little more time and skill. A section on basic stitches and techniques will get you started. Each pattern comes with yarn suggestions, but for the home-furnishing projects, where fit is not an issue, you can feel free to choose a yarn that you love and that excites you, and if it is the right gauge you can work with it and make the design your own.Throughout the book there are lots of suggestions on how to embellish things, too, with beads, sequins, bows, buttons, corsages, pom-poms and trim.

The 30 super-chic projects are divided into four chapters: 'Flirty Fashionista' - glamorous sweaters, shrugs and other gorgeous things to wear; 'Divine Accessories' - sweet bags to swing from your arm and other must-haves to finish off your look; 'Boudoir' - gorgeous furnishings for seductive, indulgent, comfortable bedrooms; and 'Feminine Fripperies' - for girlie accessories for anywhere in the home. What more could a girl ask for?
