About the Author:

Ivo de Jong is a serving Dutch Army officer who learned of the air war over Holland in World War II from his father. He was inspired to learn more about the crash of a particular aircraft which his father witnessed and this grew into a twenty-year quest to records the events affecting all the men and aircraft involved in the mission of 28 May 1944.
