He figured that all you ever needed to know could be discovered within a square mile of his front room, an easy claim to make by a man who's family hadn't moved an inch in nearly seven ceturies. All this changes when a new job sends him all around the world, stories of Slaughter and the Dogs and Acme Terrace give way to Proctor & Gamble and the Russian Mafia. He even starts feeling nostalgic for the beginning of the book before he gets to the end.

About the Author:

Adrian Wilson is a writer, journalist and musician. He first tasted fame as a young punk in the band Strangeways. When on tour with The Pretenders, he unintentionally inspired the first number one single of the eighties by enquiring of the singer, Chrissie Hynde, if an abandoned pair of leopard skin trousers had any "brass in't pocket". Adrian is now older, wiser, a dad and editor for a trade magazine for which he gets to travel in luxury around the world, about which he grumbles considerably. His first novel, The Righteous Brother was published by Route, and he edited the acclaimed 1998 collection of short stories, Tubthumping, also for the same publishing house.
