Review:
I enjoyed the second issue of the Rumi Review...and loved its balance. ...The translations were lovely, as one wouldexpect given the translators. -- - Erik S. Ohlander, Associate Professor of Religious Studies, Indiana University

This first periodical devoted to Rumi, the most loved poet of the Perso-Islamicate world (which includes much of theformer Ottoman realm and the sub-continent as well as Iran), [which] ...features all the leading names in professionalRumi studies today... is a ravishing and learned addition to the library of Persian poetry, Islamic spirituality and worldliterature. ...This most welcome publication is beautifully produced and beautifully edited/orchestrated. Thus far, bothnumbers have included, in Rumi-esque fashion - exquisite poetry (in matchless English translation) side by side withvaluable critical and analytical studies. The final, invaluable, section of book reviews locates in one place appraisals ofthe major new writing on Rumi in whatever language. All decent research and university libraries simply must subscribeto this yearly learned feast for the mind and spirit. -- Todd Lawson, Professor of Islamic Thought, University of Toronto
