You start off writing simple console programs to learn the basics of types, flow control, functions, debugging, error handling, object oriented programming, classes, events and other basics of the language. The excitement starts in chapter 13 with Windows form controls and moves on to deployment issues using the new Windows installer. You get data access with ADO and a review of ADO.NET classes and objects.
