"The International Freight Guide" is a handbook designed to assist exporters, importers and forwarders in understanding the operational and legal issues related to their activities. It was previously published as "Exporter and Forwarder". The guide includes sections on all aspects of freight movement including exporting and importing practice, agency, financing, insurance, customs, documentation, packing, together with training and education and chapters on key issues as EDI, aviation security and the Channel Tunnel. Besides covering all the major areas of importance the guide alerts the reader to problem areas and sets out ways in which these may be overcome as well as providing vital contact details and other reference sources. "The International Freight Guide", which has been compiled by a team of experts in the industry including BIFA, the Institute of Export, Lloyd's Bank, the TT Club and other major organizations, should provide a handbook for anyone directly involved in exporting, importing and forwarding and a reference book for students of transport and international trade.
