A light-hearted account of Dunstan Hadley's service as an RNVR officer in the Fleet Air Arm between 1942 and 1946. He writes of his experiences with the Fairey Barracuda, an aeroplane which was generally disliked and considered dangerous. Hadley argues that it was only dangerous if incorrectly handled amd feels that it was not used properly by the High Command. He also covers his time as a trainee pilot, an operational pilot and as a flight deck officer.
