About the Author

"Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Los Angeles, Zoe Whitley now calls London "home", where she lives with her husband and daughter. She is Curator, International Art at Tate Modern and a lifelong learner whose studies have so far taken her to Swarthmore (BA), the Royal College of Art (MA) and the University of Central Lancashire (PhD). Her favourite pastimes are talking and travelling, both usually art-related. ILLUSTRATOR BIOGRAPHY With roots in Lyon, Amsterdam and London, Helene is an illustrator currently based in Berlin. The work of Helene Baum is stunningly rich and colourful with a playful design. She draws inspiration from mythology, black history, fashion, patterns, colour and nature to create her vibrant images. Her clients include Scoop Magazine, Octopus Publishing Group, The Washington Post's The Lily, The Klean, Purish and Zalando."
