About the Author:

Nichola McAuliffe is an award-winning actress most recently seen as Wallis Simpson in Unititled, Katisha in the Mikado, Miss Sheperd in The Lady in the Van and as Madame Aldonza in Stephen Frears' film Cheri. On television she is best known as Sheila Sabatini in Surgical Spirit. Her play A British Subject, is based on the real life experience of herself and her investigative journalist husband and tells the story of how her husband, Don Mackay, became the first journalist to interview Mirza Tahir Hussain during his time on death row in Pakistan. A British Subject has played across the world and where it has received a plethora of 4 and 5 star reviews.
