This book of 30 new assemblies provides teachers and clergy alike with a wealth of ideas and inspiration to see them through the school year. Written by John Wright, author of In the Bag and In the Bag 2, the tried and tested material is designed to be used term by term, beginning with Autumn. Each assembly focuses on helping children to learn about God through doing, looking and listening - and with just the right amount of repetition to reinforce the messages. Covering a variety of general themes such as sharing and doing without, as well as main festivals and events in the Church year, this is, quite literally, a gift for everyone to enjoy. Not only is the aim to help children to learn about God, but to get them doing, looking and listening, too. This is, quite literally, a gift for everyone to enjoy!

John Wright trained and practised as a chartered accountant for nearly 20 years before being ordained in the Church of England. He claims that the shock of being confronted with the need to lead school assemblies gave him 12 months of anxiety before he realised that he enjoyed it and liked the children. He has served in various parishes and is currently Vicar of Tetbury in Gloucestershire. Everything in his books has been tried on real children or a real congregation first.
