Molly and Beth are best friends and love spending time together. But when their two families move in together, maybe they are a little too close for comfort! Out shopping one day they need to avoid the most embarrassing encounter ever with Molly’s mum, and hide in a shop they had never noticed before. When they leave by the side door, they realise immediately that something is not right! Transported back to the past, where mobile phones don’t work and the world feels very different, they realise that they have a chance to see the world through their parents’ eyes. Before finding their way home, can they see what their own pasts looked like?

Review:

beautifully told, Time After Time is humourous, nostalgic and engaging

(Inis Magazine)

Judi Curtin has been described as the Irish Jacqueline Wilson and it’s easy to see why: she writes warm, convincing contemporary stories about girls, friendships and families. Here best friends Molly and Beth are awkwardly trying to adjust to their new shared life (their respective mum and dad have moved in together) when something very strange happens and they find themselves transported back in time to 1984 ... told with Curtin’s typical insight and lightness of touch. Beth and Molly are real characters, the strength of their friendship is utterly convincing, and this is a touching, uplifting read, often very funny too. Definitely one to recommend to fans of Jacqueline Wilson

(Lovereading4kids.co.uk)

time travel tale from Ireland’s answer to Jacqueline Wilson set in the 80’s. Nostalgia for older folk and possibly quite unbelievable for the younger folk

(Newstalk.com)

a compelling friendship tale

(Irish Independent)

Curtin exudes a wonderful skill for mixing humour and emotion, and it’s hard not to fall in love with this gem

(Sunday World)

as expected, this is a splendid read from Curtin ... Curtin navigates brilliantly between emotion and fun, so that we never lose sight of the girls’ sense of adventure ... surely merits a sequel

(Irish Examiner)

funny and moving, a great holiday read

(Belfast Telegraph)

a great read

(Bleach House Library)

delightfully gentle, clean fun .. the author captures perfectly the true joy of girls’ friendships at this important age!

(CBI Recommended Reads 2016)

must read ... a story of real friendship, perfect for BFFs

From the Back Cover:

From the bestselling author of the ‘Alice and Megan’ and ‘Eva’ series

Whatever year it is, best friends have your back – time after time!

Life is complicated enough for Molly and Beth even before they walk through a spooky doorway that leads to – Thursday 26 July 1984!

The girls can’t believe they are back in a time where the hair is weird and the technology is basic. But when Beth realises that her mum, who died when Beth was little, would be alive in the 1980s, she just HAS to try to find her ...

Can the girls navigate their way through the strange world of their parents’ youth – and back home again (without using Google maps)?
