About the Author:
Caitlín Matthews is a writer, singer and storyteller who lives in Oxford. Since childhood, she has had an abiding love of myths and legends. She has written nearly fifty books including Celtic Devotional, Celtic Spirit and Singing the Soul Back Home. To read more about Caitlín Matthews' work, visit her website www.hallowquest.org.uk. After receiving a Masters from New York University, Margaret developed a unique form of story-theatre, creating performances of dramatically performed myths, epics, legends, and fairytales in collaboration with musicians, composers, and visual artists. Her group, World Myth and Music, has performed in such places as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Sydney Opera House, the National Theater, the Asia Society, Harvard University, Princeton University, the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, the United Nations, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, City University of New York, and hundreds of other cultural and educational venues. As an artist-in-residence, she has lectured on oral performance and creative writing at nationwide colleges and schools. Founder and Director of the Myth Project at CAL Arts in Los Angeles, she trained MFA acting students in solo performance and the use of mythic material. As a consultant, she works for Midori & Friends, Arts Horizons, the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, Arts Horizons, and other organizations and freelances as a nomenclature consultant, developing original names for retail, financial, pharmaceutical, and other products and services Olwyn Whelan worked as a newspaper cartoonist and as a graphic designer before becoming a full-time freelance illustrator. She aims to produce timeless and classic books that children will treasure for life. Olwyn lives in Ireland with her husband, their two children, and her cat called Sleazy.
