Student workbooks will support your teaching and help your students' skills and developments. The full-colour student workbooks each cover key topics in core subject areas to complement the main AS courses in History. Each topic comprises: 1-2 pages of source material and 4-5 pages of related exercises designed to develop and test student skills, with space provided for written answers.
The exercises take various forms, including exam-style questions (both short-answer and extended-answer), although the workbooks are not intended as mock exams. They are designed for systematic classroom use to support your own scheme of work or as the basis of a revision programme.
Answers to the exercises are provided in an accompanying set of Teachers Notes. Where there is no objectively 'right' answer, the notes identify the key points that should appear in the answer. Student workbooks are available as single copies or in class sets of 10. Each set of workbooks includes one FREE copy of the teacher's notes.

Book Description:
Student workbooks are designed to help build students understanding of the key periods covered in AS history as they progress through the course. They can complement class work, and provide homework tasks and revision exercises. There are four workbooks at AS-two on periods in German history and two on Russian/USSR history. Each workbook covers the key topics most often studied at this level. The topics can be covered sequentially, or selectively, to fit into existing schemes of work. Each topic aims to: strengthen students knowledge and understanding of the period. test their ability to explain and communicate ideas and arguments clearly and precisely. Each topic features a range of questions, designed to help students develop the skills they need to exhibit in the examination. Space is provided in the workbooks for students responses. Answers to the questions are provided in an accompanying set of Teachers Notes. Where the answers are evaluative, and can therefore draw on a range of responses, the notes provide guidance on the type of response required by the examination. Student workbooks are available only in class sets of 10, priced at £45 per set. Each set includes one copy of Teachers Notes, which can be photocopied where necessary.
