Georgia Tate never knew her mother, and what she knows of her father from their one holiday together isn't good. Her grandparents have raised her from babyhood, so Georgia is devastated when her beloved Nana suddenly dies and her grandfather sends her to live with her father. This story is about more than an account of the abuse she experiences; it is an ode to family, the mercy of strangers, and the possibility of hope and healing.

Review:
"It's rare and exciting to discover a talented new writer like Gigi Amateau... I was hooked on the first page and couldn't put the book down until I'd finished. Then I read it again. That's the kind of book this is. You may close it but you won't ever forget it." Judy Blume"
