Synopsis:
When Sophie Michell became a chef, her love affair with food meant her figure suffered from being able to cook and eat whatever she fancied. Realising that this was doing nothing for her health as a sufferer of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Sophie began to devise her own recipes, which combined the foodstuffs she loved while avoiding those that had made her tired and overweight. The result is a collection of recipes that could grace any gourmet restaurant table, but which your body will love as much as your taste buds. Breakfasting on Balinese coconut and banana pancakes, lunching on organic chicken stuffed with Dolcelatte and dining on spiced wild salmon with avocado, mango and chilli salsa, amongst a host of other stunning recipes, means that avoiding sugar or wheat is hardly a chore. Vegetable dishes and light snacks supplement the main meals. And because nobody can be good all the time, there is a tempting selection of sweet treats.
