Paul Williams works in a facility counseling drug addicts and young offenders. His latest case is Glen, a mysterious boy who has a hidden talent. Paul investigates the youngster's past and as he befriends Glen, the boy admits he is a psychic. He has the ability to read a mind and know all about a person just by touching him. Glen's drug abuse inhibits his ability and is driving him mad. The two forge a strong friendship and after Glen's stay at the facility ends, Paul allows Glen to move in with him until Glen begins university. But Glen runs away, forcing Paul to chase him all around London. Glen begins using again, so the friends argue and go their separate ways. Paul gets married, while Glen becomes rich and famous creating art for a band. When Glen reveals his gift to the wrong people, he is abducted. Remembering the strong connection he had with his friend, Glen calls upon Paul supernaturally to save him.
