About the Author:
James McGee grew up in Gibraltar, Germany, and Northern Ireland. He has worked in banking, sales, newspapers, the airline industry and bookselling. He has travelled extensively in Europe, the United States, Australia and the Far East, but nowadays resides in Somerset, England. As well as thrillers, James McGee is the author of the Matthew Hawkwood series, set during the Napoleonic Wars. There are currently five Hawkwood novels: Ratcatcher (US Title: Hawkwood), Resurrectionist, Rapscallion, Rebellion and The Blooding.
Synopsis:
Crow is a pilot, who honed his skills flying helicopter gunships in Vietnam. Now he's ferrying relief supplies to refugee camps along Pakistan's northwest frontier - until he's asked to airlift a critically ill Mujehadeen field commander to hospital in Tashawar. But there is one small problem - the pick-up point is across the border in Afghanistan, and there's a war going on. In the company of a beautiful French medic and a bloodthirsty Pathan Guerrilla, Crow decides to run the gauntlet.
